The Book of Love
Verse 1
No church or cult, do I ask you to join
I need not your things, nor require your coin
It is only your attention, I ask as a toll
My only intention, to show you your soul

Verse 2
For always we banter, the word about
Unaware of the source, we dread the doubt
At first it was sacred and rarely used
Now it is common and often abused
Verse 3
With reckless abandon, we confess admiration
We scoff at the effort, of art’s imitation
This thing then that, claim pieces of heart
The hole they don't fill, will tear you apart
Verse 4
To waste it on things, is a loss undeserved
To life you must give, your love unreserved
From smallest to largest, a heart it still beats
To hold and adore, is the greatest of feats
Verse 5
All of us can, yet so few of us do
The courage it takes, to decide to be you
The only true sadness, is wasted affection
Follow your heart, it knows the direction
Verse 6
Material wants, without fail dim your sight
Have faith in your soul and the power of light
Take what you need and seek nothing more
For though you have things, your heart will be poor
Verse 7
Of joyful tidings, do I speak
I know not the hour, the day or the week
The end of oppression, is now within sight
If we abandon our hate and in love reunite

Verse 8
It is only love, that presides from above
The Spirit, The Father, The Mother, The Son
Within every heart, lies a corner that speaks
It whispers that love, is all that it seeks
Verse 9
Misled from birth, we forget how to hear
We lose years, to find it was always near
Not knowing for what, we strive and we yearn
Without it we stumble, each way that we turn
Verse 10
Your heart knows dimensions, as yet undiscovered
Within them wait those, who call you beloved
You are never alone, despite all you were told
They walk your whole life and answers they hold
Verse 11
Unaware of their presence, you confuse the task
They exist only to guide, but first you must ask
Love is their mantra and forever they fight
To show you the truth, the love and the light
Verse 12
It is love that inspires, an enlightened soul
To see through the lies and carry no hole
To walk down a road, that is yet to be walked
To utter the words, that are yet to be talked
Verse 13
In a dream of reality, it's so hard to wake
Great care and great patience, one must take
Always it seems, the lie has been spoken
The time it has come, for the spell to be broken

Verse 14
It is within your power, to forgive and forget
The hurts, the lies, the hate, the regret
In confusion we fly, just like moths to a flame
As though we have learned, to welcome the pain
Verse 15
Choose to let go, of the hate in your heart
It is only your burden and keeps you apart
In all of its forms, you are given to choose
To give without want, leaves you nothing to lose
Verse 16
It is within each other, our faith we must place
For love transcends time, religion and race
His voice spoke the word, our lives are the song
Our love is the answer, to right our great wrong
Verse 17
Once I walked life, with want in my mind
Ever I hoped, great wealth I would find
Yet alone I traversed, as my faith it was lost
Ignoring my soul, as it measured the cost
Verse 18
It took all my courage, to open the door
To let go of fear and dream once more
It was then that the Angels, enlightened my heart
They showed me the wealth, I had missed from the start
Verse 19
The abundance of love, that often we miss
The comfort and warmth, to be found in a kiss
A hug full and strong, from one who would care
Crowds a moment with joy, in the love that you share

Verse 20
The light that a smile, can bring to a face
A glint in the eye, we can never replace
The only true peace, is two sharing their soul
Who without fear of hurt, embrace as a whole
Verse 21
The array of a galaxy, viewed from afar
The miraculous wonder, in the birth of a star
Beyond count or measure, the nothing is vast
The abundance within it, no time will outlast
Verse 22
The love of our Father, to send us his Son
A human whilst being, is life just begun
We are here to learn, to love and to grow
Your soul it will reap, the seeds that you sow
Verse 23
It is only yourself, you hurt with your pride
The walls that you build, will keep you inside
Unaware of the terrible, price you have paid
A prison of fear, is what you have made
Verse 24
Rejoice you must, in the affection of others
We are each of us here, as sisters and brothers
The things that divide us, are angles of slight
We all look the same, in the absence of light
Verse 25
Take a deep breath and hold onto the grace
Forget war and worry, forget time and space
We have only each other, all else is the scene
Only you can decide, when the slate is wiped clean
Verse 26
For then there is freedom, to rewrite all you've heard
Your days are the pages, your deeds are the words
Your time is the book, your heart bleeds the ink
You can imagine your future, but try not to think
Verse 27
For our Father he knows, your hearts desires
There is naught beyond reach, when love it inspires
If in the name of the Son, you request all you need
In the garden of faith, you have planted a seed
Verse 28
Ever the sun will go down and come up
The moon joins the dance, the earth is the cup
For players we are, upon a great stage
Your destiny waits, for you to engage
Verse 29
Fate is what's left, for those filled with doubt
The curtain will fall, the screen will fade out
For nothing is written, as though set in stone
Do you choose to be loved, or to be on your own
Verse 30
Happiness you'll find, is a choice you can make
With resolve to fear nothing, great steps you will take
So gather your courage, on your sleeve wear your heart
Use your love as a shield, as you rewrite your part
Verse 31
It is never too late, to forget all you know
To stand in the light, be the star of your show
For wasted is a life, that is lived in the wings
Have faith in love and the hope that it brings
Verse 32
Reflect on the memories, that make up your life
The moments of woe, of fear and great strife
At the foot of the mountain, we give way to despair
But once it is climbed, we no longer care
Verse 33
Trust in your soul, leave your old life behind
Grasp every moment, of joy that you find
There is a chorus of Angels, who hover above
All your life they will wait, to show you Gods love
